A delegation from ExpobetonRDC is currently in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, as part of an international mobilization mission ahead of the 11th edition of this major event dedicated to infrastructure, economic corridors, and territorial development in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
This mission is part of a proactive economic diplomacy approach. The objective is clear: to raise awareness, persuade, and encourage the participation of Tanzanian companies, investors, and institutions in the upcoming ExpobetonRDC forum. Through meetings with various economic and institutional stakeholders, the delegation is highlighting the business and cooperation opportunities that the DRC offers, particularly in the sectors of infrastructure, energy, and mining.
Tanzania appears to be a natural strategic partner. Located at the heart of East Africa, the country has developed, over the years, a remarkable logistical and institutional framework around its transport infrastructure, notably the Port of Dar es Salaam, a true commercial gateway for several countries in the region. This dynamic perfectly aligns with the vision of ExpobetonRDC, which promotes regional economic integration through the development of transport corridors and major infrastructure projects.
The theme chosen for the next edition also resonates with Tanzania’s strategic priorities. Transport corridors, energy, and mineral resources are currently key pillars of public policies in Tanzania, just as they are in the DRC. This convergence of interests opens the door to mutually beneficial partnerships capable of accelerating trade and cross-border investments.
It is worth recalling that the 11th edition of ExpobetonRDC will take place from May 27 to 30, 2026, in Kalemie, in the Tanganyika Province of the DRC. Under the theme “Kalemie, lithium capital and strategic crossroads at the heart of African corridors linking East, Southern, and Western Africa,” this edition aims to position the city as a major economic hub connecting several regional markets.
Beyond promoting an event, the presence of the Congolese delegation in Tanzania reflects a broader ambition: building economic bridges between the DRC and the region’s emerging economies. At a time when Africa is seeking to strengthen its commercial integration particularly within the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area initiatives such as ExpobetonRDC are becoming essential platforms for dialogue, investment, and cooperation.
This mission in Dar es Salaam could therefore mark an important step in strengthening economic relations between the DRC and Tanzania. Beyond speeches and intentions, it is the networking of stakeholders, the circulation of capital, and the development of infrastructure that will transform regional potential into a true engine of shared growth.
